product description
The dialogue that Baba Nanak had with Nature has inspired the artist to create this embroidered artwork series as self-realisation about the Sat Naam- सतनाम translated as True Name. The Omnipresent One Lord is the ultimate reality with many Names, and He is the only Truth that exists, even within us. Nanak in the imagery of artwork is semblance of our souls as a reverberation of his mantra Ek-Onkar: One Divine ੴ.
The worship of One True Divine Lord by the Universe and Nanak's Bani as he sees this act is has power to create the imagery. This poetry is so inspiring that Rabindranath Tagore named it as anthem for the Universe.
Baba Nanak believed in being part of world but not being so engrossed in worldly affairs that one doesn't feel the thirst for the name of the TRUE NAME (Sat Naam).
Nanak is immortal with his Shabads and Banis and not by his imagery. His Shabads of Oneness: Ek-Onkar with the music created by the Rabab of Mardana are omnipresent as an energy and inspiration. Baba Nanak's songs and Rabab were inseparable companions that travelled together during four Udasis. Baba Nanak stayed on mounds on the outskirts of towns in dense forest, graveyards singing in his melody as the birds returning home, to swaying trees and breeze, whole Universe joined his music in the act of worship.
This has inspired the artist to create this embroidered artwork with Mehjabi to have self realisation about the One Name behind all aspects of the Divine. Bani takes us into the world of Baba Nanak. This Bani with its full grace has been lovingly embroidered in zardosi and chikankari with various name of the Divine to express the faith in his words.
